The Cause

Giving together, all year round

The Bali Nyonga family in Europe has always looked after its own. In 2027 there are simple ways to give throughout the year, so the Gala can be pure celebration.

How you can give

Three ways to give

  1. Challenge events across the year

A step challenge with chapter leaderboards, a health walk, a race and a heritage hike. Ask friends and colleagues to sponsor you, and help your chapter climb the leaderboard.

  2. At the convention

Bazaar stalls on Friday from midday share part of their takings with the cause, alongside an auction of Bali Nyonga craft and donated items, convention merchandise and sponsorship of the children's Lela Olympiad.

  3. Year-round named campaigns

The Giving House on LelaHub: one named project at a time, a live total, and every pound reported by the charity partner. Matched giving, standing orders and pledges from businesses.

Our cause and charity partner, coming soon

The cause and our charity partner

We will soon announce the cause and the registered charity that will look after every pound. We will publish here what the money does, how it is managed and the charity's registration number.

At the convention

Giving during the weekend

  1. Friday midday

    Bazaar and auction

Bazaar stalls with a cultural flavour share part of their takings with the cause. Bali Nyonga craft and donated items go under the hammer.

  2. During the weekend

    Prize draw and merchandise

Convention merchandise and a prize draw. Prize draw details will be shared once confirmed.

  3. Saturday, at the Gala

    One hour of digital giving

For one hour you can give on the app, with a live total on the screen. Then on with the party. Giving is private: give what feels right.

Kept separate, reported openly

The convention and the cause have separate accounts. Every pound given to the cause goes through our charity partner, who reports on it.
