Put it in your diary: from Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August 2027, the Bali Nyonga family in Europe comes together at De Vere Wokefield Estate, near Reading in England. BCDA-UK is proud to host the convention for BCA Europe, with volunteers from every chapter helping to make it happen.

The weekend in a minute

  • One estate. 376 bedrooms and 250 acres of parkland, about 40 minutes from Heathrow. Every event, every meal and the Gala are on one site, so you can walk from one to the next.
  • One pass. A single Bali Pass covers the weekend, and you can pay in instalments.
  • Culture at the centre. The Njang at the Meet and Greet on Thursday, the Official Opening in our uniforms on Friday, cultural dancing and the dance competition on Saturday, and the barbecue and farewells on Sunday.
  • Evenings for celebrating. Giving happens across the year and at Friday’s bazaar and auction, so the evenings are for celebrating together.
  • A digital home. LelaHub, our new online home for registration, the programme and the magazine, is planned to open on 1 December 2026.

What it will cost

The planned prices are one fee per pass: Full Weekend £150, Young Bali (18 to 25) £100 and Gala only £100. Children’s places are free for now, and we’ll confirm this when passes go on sale. Rooms are booked separately.

What happens next

Passes are planned to go on sale in the registration app in December 2026. Register your interest on the Register page and we’ll email you the day they open. In the meantime, you can offer to volunteer on the Get involved page, or send us your photos and memories of past conventions through the Our conventions page.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Wokefield.
